Q. I'm concerned about our environment. How does this product impact our environment?
A. Gutter Drainer is a 100% GREEN product. We purchase 100% recycled plastic, our manufacturing waste is recycled, and the product is labeled every 8" with the familiar recycling logo and the Plastics Industry's labeling = HDPE. This allows you to dispose of your leftover scrap materials into your municipal recycling bin for pickup. No foreign oil is used to produce Gutter Drainer! Not only will you be solving a nagging home maintenance chore, you'll be doing so in the most eco-friendly manner.
Q. What tools are required to install this product on my home?
A. The installation requires basic household tools: a tape measure, a pair of sharp scissors, masking tape, and several sheet metal screws (if your home has corners in its gutter system). We provide everything else.
Q. How much material will I need to purchase to do my entire home and garage?
A. Measure your gutters and add the number of linear feet from each section together to arrive at the amount of product you will need to order. NOTE: You will need to overlap 6" for expansion joints for gutter "runs" over 25'. You can get Gutter Drainer in 25', 50' and 100' rolls.
Q. Do I need to clean my gutters with this product installed?
A. No! Since Gutter Drainer establishes an "open-channel" along the bottom of your gutters to direct rain water, melting snow, etc. to your open down spout you'll not have to remove the debris which can accumulate on top of the product. The wind can remove most of the visible debris. The remaining debris will dry completely due to complete air circulation. Repeated cycles of wet / drying out will cause any remaining debris to break down into small particles which will then enter the Gutter Drainer channel. The very next rainstorm will "flush" the small particles of dry organic matter down the drain spouts.
No known gutter protection system will prevent your roofing granules from entering and depositing in the bottom of your gutters. However, this is not a major issue with Gutter Drainer providing your roof is in good condition. A modest buildup of this material will not inhibit rain water from flowing to your down spouts. When you eventually need to clean your gutter system, the process is greatly simplified with Gutter Drainer. All you need to do is remove the 1st several spring mounted hold-down clips, fold back the unclipped Gutter Drainer plastic, and flush with a garden hose. This process should take approximately 15-30 minutes. That's it! Simply fold Gutter Drainer back in place, replace the clips, and you're done for several more years. |
